Christmas Tags

This weekend I thought I should get a jump on some Christmas crafting. I had told my step mom at Christmas last year that I would make her some tags for gifts. Both of my sisters & I made our own & they were a big hit, everyone loved them.

I decided to pull out my stamps & get to work. I cut the tags from TBBM in the CCR to get many tags out of a 12 x 12 sheet of paper. I cut the first ones & then made smaller tags too. Here they are...

I used some stamps from the cheap bin @ Michael's
Pink By Design - Goodie label die & Goodie labelstamps, Christmas wishes
Pick Your Plum - summer twine
Trendy Twine - Candy Cane twine
Cuttle bug - snaowflakes folder
Martha Stewart Glitter glue

I ended up making almost 70 tags in total. I will be giving some to my step mom & will put some in the mail to send to my M-I-L... I'm sure she'll love to get some happy mail :)

Then of course I will keep a few for myself to use!

Till next time, J

PBD Challenge #5 - Ombre

This challenge made me put my thinking cap on - I mad a card & then made another, cause I didn't like the first one.

Here is my take on an ombre card - light to dark or dark to light

This is a 5" x 5" square card.

I used my stars cuttlebug folder to emboss the blue papers
Blueberry Trendy Twine

PBD SOTM has finally arrived!!!!

My SOTM from Pink By Design finally arrived yesterday.... Sometimes it's not fun having to wait for stuff to be shipped from the states. I've had a few orders arrive within days & other times it takes a month or so :(
Anyway... I thought I'd make my 8 yr old a card today. She loves crafting almost as much as me & gets almost as excited to get new products in the mail.... I love 'Happy Mail' days!!!! They are SO much better than other mail days!!

I wanted to incorporate some of her favorite things in her card, so... She loves Minnie & loves blue & loves things that sparkle.... Here it is...

The inside I stamped 'Love you Rain or Shine'
I think she's going to LOVE it!!!! Can't wait to put it in her lunchbox tomorrow :)

Until next time..... J

New Stamps!!!

I have a job now.... It's taking a serious toll on my crafting time.... I am happy to have the weekend off!!
Over the last couple of days I have received some 'HAPPY MAIL'... I love happy mail, especially when it is something to craft with!!! I also got to have lunch yesterday with one of my sisters who came into town to work for the day. I was able to take her for lunch & she brought me my stampin' up order!!! I was very excited to finally receive all my goodies.... I made a birthday card for my step mom with my new stamps & die cut from 'My Creative Time'... they are SOOOOO cute!!!!

I can't wait to play with my carts tomorrow... Mickey Mouse... here I come.... watch out!!!!
More to come this weekend...
Have an awesome night :)

Back to the Grind

Ok, so I still haven't been able to upload the photos I was hoping for, but I have another card I made for my MIL. She kindly gave me some new to me crafting supplies, including a heat embossing gun!!! I had to make
her a thank you card, so here it is....

I used a PBD sentiment from the 'Woodland Critters' set. I had to let her know that she made me one 'Happy Camper' .... lol
I tried my hand at heat embossing, I thought it turned out quite nice!
Here are the bags I made for the Brownies... I hope they really enjoyed them!

Until next time,

A little more Valentine's fun!

On Friday night Pink By Design had a new stamp set release & announced the new design team! I love their stamps! So of course what better way to spend Friday night, then cuddled up in my computer chair with all my stuff ready for a new project. We make a sweet little box... I fell in love so Saturday while my hubby was working & my 8 yr old was finishing up her 'warm fuzzy' Valentine's, I decided I should make a few more... after all teacher's need a sweet treat too!! And of course I had to make one for my M-I-L as we had a little visit for dinner on Saturday night! And couldn't leave out my co-leaders at Brownies either, after all we are having a pink heart party tonight.... so here we go, simple boxes with room for a sweet saying :) I know I don't even like the 'made up love day'..but it's starting to get to me..maybe it's that I get to craft  and after all...
I DO LOVE ANY REASON TO CRAFT!!!!!

These little boxes can fit 9 kisses! A couple I put the Hersey Miniature chocolate bars with kisses. You can fit 3 & 3, as I was being frugal & trying to make the mini bars last, but I'm sure you could probably fit 6 bars with 3 kisses :)

These are SO easy to make!

If you'd like to make one too, leave me a comment & I will share with you just how simple these little boxes are!
