Birthday Wine Tag

I got happy mail on Friday - which was my day off!! As soon as it arrived, I knew I had to play!! So I went to my craft table & got my big shot, DCWV stacks and my Jaded Blossom dies and stamps 

and went to work. Here is the tag I created.

Trendy Twine Guest Design Team Announcement

Hello blogging friends!! 

I'm so excited to be a guest designer for Trendy Twine in November! 

Today I have two fun projects to share with you. 

The first one I made is a birthday card for my niece. I used Twisted Bubblegum twine.

A beautiful blue twisted with a pretty pink!

My second project is Cherry Licorice - a perfect black and red combo!

Operation Tag

Birthday month - Post 8

Well my birthday crafting month has gotten a little off track :( 

On Thursday my husband called me to let me know he was on his way to the hospital... My husband doesn't even like to go to the doctors, so I knew it must be a big deal. He fell about 4 feet onto his shoulder - sure enough after spending a couple hours in emergency and having x-rays taken, he came home with a broken arm. No cast, just a sling, but none the less broken :( 

So I didn't end up making a card for my son's bday... which makes me sad & I guess that's what I get for waiting until the day before... He turned 14 on Friday the 8th.

He did preform in his Remembrance Day assembly at school, playing his french horn with the band!

I love that he has made it 3 years in band & plays the most difficult brass instrument well. He makes his mom proud! He has made it into a white tie with his band & will get two trips this year, band camp & band tour! 

Sorry to not have a crafting post, but I will play catch up tonight with a few pictures & posts :)

Birthday Month - Post 7 - My Birthday

Happy Birthday to me!! ;)

Today is post 7 - fitting as 7 is my favorite number, big surprise? I don't think so.. it's the day I was born!!

As I am now half way through my 30's I can look back on so many wonderful things in my life & be truly thankful for so many things... I am going to list a small few...

I am thankful most of all for my husband & children who all love me for me!

I am thankful for my mom, sisters, brothers & dad - they all are part of what made me who I am today!

I am thankful for the grandparents I still have around & the ones who are no longer with me. They have all taught me unconditional love - I never could have asked for such love from so many wonderful people!

I am thankful for my friends - I truly believe they are the family I choose for myself!

Today I am also thankful for my crafty nature - I love to craft, anyone who knows me, knows that! 

So today I will spend my day taking car of a sick teenager & crafting... 

I will share at least one of my creations with you later today!

I received some yummy cupcakes from a wonderful friend!!

60th Birthday Luau

This weekend my sisters & I threw my mom a surprise 60th birthday party! It was a lot of work planning, but the results were well worth it! Everyone had an enjoyable time & we got a lot of compliments! 

Once everyone arrived, I forgot to take pictures. Really I was busy with hosting, but I did get some before pictures!
