My card exchange group decided to make layouts for one of our members who got married earlier this month. We are surprising her with a scrapbook that she won't have to create for herself!

I can't wait to find out if she likes my page - I may be biased, but I love my page!

Birthday Month - Post 14

I have been having fun making some treats for stocking stuffers.

These ones will be for my kids - they both now know that I am the one who does all the fun stuff.

Which is great for me - no more trying to explain why the Easter Bunny brought Jaded Blossom boxes filled with treats & then stamped too ;)

I found yuletide gums at Walmart & picked out the white ones for my 'POOP'

Birthday month - Post 12 - Jaded Blossom Challenge

Jaded Blossom has posted another awesome challenge. Now my challenge with this one is that I live in Canada, so that means we celebrate Thanksgiving in October. As a family we camp for our weekend as it's the last weekend before the hunting / winter seasons start.

This weekend I had a bit of company - my sister & her hubby!

Birthday month - Post 8

Well my birthday crafting month has gotten a little off track :( 

On Thursday my husband called me to let me know he was on his way to the hospital... My husband doesn't even like to go to the doctors, so I knew it must be a big deal. He fell about 4 feet onto his shoulder - sure enough after spending a couple hours in emergency and having x-rays taken, he came home with a broken arm. No cast, just a sling, but none the less broken :( 

So I didn't end up making a card for my son's bday... which makes me sad & I guess that's what I get for waiting until the day before... He turned 14 on Friday the 8th.

He did preform in his Remembrance Day assembly at school, playing his french horn with the band!

I love that he has made it 3 years in band & plays the most difficult brass instrument well. He makes his mom proud! He has made it into a white tie with his band & will get two trips this year, band camp & band tour! 

Sorry to not have a crafting post, but I will play catch up tonight with a few pictures & posts :)

Birthday Month - Post 7 - My Birthday

Happy Birthday to me!! ;)

Today is post 7 - fitting as 7 is my favorite number, big surprise? I don't think so.. it's the day I was born!!

As I am now half way through my 30's I can look back on so many wonderful things in my life & be truly thankful for so many things... I am going to list a small few...

I am thankful most of all for my husband & children who all love me for me!

I am thankful for my mom, sisters, brothers & dad - they all are part of what made me who I am today!

I am thankful for the grandparents I still have around & the ones who are no longer with me. They have all taught me unconditional love - I never could have asked for such love from so many wonderful people!

I am thankful for my friends - I truly believe they are the family I choose for myself!

Today I am also thankful for my crafty nature - I love to craft, anyone who knows me, knows that! 

So today I will spend my day taking car of a sick teenager & crafting... 

I will share at least one of my creations with you later today!

I received some yummy cupcakes from a wonderful friend!!

Birthday month - Post 6

This month I am involved in a few different swaps. 

One being an ornament swap for Christmas. 

I will be mailing my ornament out tomorrow to my partner - I hope she likes it!

I bought a glass ornament at Michaels' & glittered the inside with some MS glitter.

I cut vinyl with my cameo & adhered it to the front. I added some ribbon & VOILA - here it is!

Birthday Month - Post 2

Sorry I am so late getting to this. I went to see Tim McGraw in concert tonight - WOW!!!
I will share a couple pics I took with my phone. I was front row, center & man oh man did I ever have the best time ever!!!

He sure knows how to put on a great show!!

I got an awesome video, they even took my phone on stage to record up close.

Yes it was a perfect night!!!

Birthday Month!

Happy November!! As this is my birthday month, I am challenging myself to be extra crafty & have some blog fun! I plan to post a project everyday for the month of November and maybe just maybe I will have a giveaway at the end of the month... ;)

I went away last weekend to Banff, AB for a scrapbooking retreat. It was a great weekend away!
Only I did no scrapbooking, just made cards instead, I finished just over 100 cards. I worked mainly on Christmas cards, after all I just got the new Jaded Blossom release with those super cute ginger die & stamps!!!
