Playing around with vinyl

For the first time since I purchased my Cricut Expression just over a year ago I finally bought some vinyl to play with. Can I just say I AM IN LOVE!!!!! It's true what they say about it being SO easy to use! I didn't really believe it, but I'm telling you I sure believe it now!!! I bought some water bottles from the dollar store for my 3rd & 4th year Brownies for their end of the year gifts. I had to do something with them. I can't have 10 girls running around all with the same bottle, can I? Nope, so I thought I'd personalize them! Here they are...

 Quite a few of the girls, including my own daughter, would never find personalized items in the store. I love this idea & hope the girls really enjoy them! 

I can't wait to give the girls these, I hope they love them as much as I do!!

What a great weekend!!

I started off my weekend by watching Sarah Hamer of 'Pink By Design' on Friday night! She had a Usteam video going for their new stamp release. They are FANTASTIC!!! I really enjoying watching stamp releases and any type of new videos to help my creative juices flowing! I have told myself I need to hold off on stamps for awhile, especially because I am a Stamp of the month member & get a new stamp set every month! This month is about shoes, can't wait for it to arrive in my mailbox :) 

I won a set of Cricut gel pens that I can't wait to try out with my new Tags, Bags, Boxes & More 2 cartridge!!! I'm waiting for my scoring tool as well, so once they both arrive I hope it's going to be as much fun to play with as I think it will be! 

I also have a great opportunity to take part in Ella's Publishing Spring Training this week! I won this as well on Friday!!! It must've been my lucky day, as I don't really win anything, ever & then I win two things in one day... or maybe it was to pick me up after a not so fun week.... Either way I'll take it!!

My 8 year old daughter wanted to make a card & here is what she came up with. I think it turned out super cute! She is one good crafter already!!

To finish off my weekend I decided I should make thank you cards for two wonderful ladies. They both helped me out last month coming out to Brownie camp to help care for 60 girls! So here they are :)

I used some yummy Trendy Twine - krazy for kraft

I used a sentiment from My Creative Time - You are Perk-fect 

And of course Create a Critter cart for the fire

PBD SOTM has finally arrived!!!!

My SOTM from Pink By Design finally arrived yesterday.... Sometimes it's not fun having to wait for stuff to be shipped from the states. I've had a few orders arrive within days & other times it takes a month or so :(

Anyway... I thought I'd make my 8 yr old a card today. She loves crafting almost as much as me & gets almost as excited to get new products in the mail.... I love 'Happy Mail' days!!!! They are SO much better than other mail days!! 

 I wanted to incorporate some of her favorite things in her card, so... She loves Minnie & loves blue & loves things that sparkle.... Here it is...

The inside I stamped 'Love you Rain or Shine'

I think she's going to LOVE it!!!! Can't wait to put it in her lunchbox tomorrow :)
